Low-confidence decisions are gated before they affect the character.
Start by writing down a short list of actions you want a game companion to take, such as dancing, hiding, or shrugging. Have a developer set up questions that check a player's message against those specific choices instead of having the robot write back.
This approach lets your character react with physical movements or silent gestures based on player text. Keep in mind that when player messages are vague or confusing, the system must hold back and make the character shrug or ask for help.
