What it does

It includes a plugin for detecting magic strings.

How you can use it

A programmer can add this tool to your website or app project to spot messy coding habits, like scattering hard-coded words everywhere instead of keeping them in an organized list. Running the scanner requires an access key provided by the Jev online service to send your files off for evaluation.

You can also create custom rules using simple questions, such as checking whether someone forgot to remove temporary testing notes. Keep in mind that the tool only flags whole files that likely break a rule; it will not highlight specific lines or fix problems on its own.
