The Singularity Has a Respawn Timer | Science → WARDOGS | Team eR33t

A short science segment in eR33t's mixed stream reports a Conway's Game of Life test over all 512 local patterns. It contrasts asking for the next state directly with reading cells separately and letting exact code apply the rule.

What you’ll find in the video

  1. The opening science segment reports 259 correct next-state answers out of 512 for its whole-question prompt.
  2. Separate cell reading plus exact rule code produced 512 correct Life outputs in that reported run, despite one error in complete cell reconstruction before voting.
  3. Treat those results as a bounded task-composition experiment, not evidence of general intelligence or biological repair.
Worth knowing

The main briefing begins around 17:20, not at the start; much of the stream concerns music, comedy or later science inserts. This is a companion in the Rules, Memory, and Repair research family. Do not merge its opening 259/512 run with the article's frozen 231/512 Jev table, revisited later in the stream. The opening briefing does not name its model; later speech identifies the saved Jev table. The neural lab uses already-trained local weights and does not call Jev for cell weights. Caption gaps are substantial; on-screen receipts and recovery animations were not verified.
