It runs through a Genesis emulator on Apple Silicon and needs a legally obtained ROM.
A developer can adapt this code to let an AI play classic video games. They need an Apple Silicon Mac and a legally obtained game file. The software reads the running game and sends text descriptions to TypeSafe, an outside AI service. You supply an access key to connect them.
TypeSafe returns a chosen move for the game character. The local software then automatically presses the right buttons. The game continues running while waiting for the AI to answer. Because of this delay, reaction timing is often inconsistent. A developer could borrow this setup to connect other emulators to an AI.
