Jev and projection-guided bin preparation

A human-supervised manufacturing proof of concept uses Jev to evaluate bin states and workload, projecting preparation instructions to operators via LightGuide.

What it does

The four recorded diagnostic attempts all needed manual operator approval because confidence stayed below the fixed 0.80 threshold for autonomous action. Readiness was simulated; the prototype does not demonstrate a physical spare-bin exchange. Nor can its zone sensors independently identify the parts or count them.

How you can use it

An empty bin starts a question for Jev: is preparation needed, given the bin measurements and the work waiting? A separate program checks the decision and records the operator’s approval. The request’s status is then projected for the operator. The example does not demonstrate an automatic physical bin exchange.

Maker-reported (not independently measured by JevMade): Adrián Vodilka and colleagues reports: 4 diagnostic Jev attempts recorded across 3 software versions · Adrián Vodilka and colleagues reports: 0.80 fixed confidence threshold for autonomous action · Adrián Vodilka and colleagues reports: 0.75 confidence proposal approved by operator to create a preparation request · Adrián Vodilka and colleagues reports: 351.944 ms to 354.828 ms recorded adapter/API intervals for attempts C and D
