What it does

Hiroyuki Ota has Jev choose a Puyo Puyo phase and the best resulting board from candidate placements.

How you can use it

You can borrow this two-step thinking method for your own puzzle or board games. First, outline your game phases, such as opening setups, defense, or final attacks. Then, describe what a winning board position looks like during each stage.

A developer can program your game to test possible moves ahead of time. Instead of having the AI guess blindly, your app asks it which game phase is happening now, then lets it pick the move outcome that best matches that phase's strategy.
