You can build a game character that makes its own choices. Your developer can borrow how this project separates math from decisions. The game calculates exact money amounts first. It gives those finished numbers to an outside AI service called TypeSafe to choose an action.
The AI service cannot write new text or do math. Your developer must write the character's possible spoken lines ahead of time. Then the AI chooses one from the list. This setup needs an access key. This is a required code generated by TypeSafe to connect your software to the service.
