What it does

Hunger, energy, mood, the time of day and distances go in; a choice and an urgency score come back. Without a key the villagers fall back to a deterministic rule brain with the same output shape.

How you can use it

Your developer can run the village simulation on a computer to watch it immediately. Without an internet connection, the villagers follow simple built-in rules to make their choices.

To test the AI, your developer adds an access key. This key connects the software to OpenRouter, an outside provider hosting the AI. The villagers send their hunger and energy levels to the service. The AI then chooses their next action. The simulation compares this cost against a high-end conversational AI.

Maker-reported (not independently measured by JevMade): ~624 input tokens, 69 output, 160–250 ms end-to-end, ~$0.000026 per decision (2026-09-19, live Jev via OpenRouter)
