What it does
Jev is off by default and never moves mail automatically. Turning it on sends a shortened, partly masked email excerpt to TypeSafe, which can still contain sensitive information.
Apps & data pipelines
Read and reply to Gmail from your Mac’s menu bar, with optional Jev labels and help choosing existing codes or unsubscribe links.
Only you can see your notes.

Jev is off by default and never moves mail automatically. Turning it on sends a shortened, partly masked email excerpt to TypeSafe, which can still contain sensitive information.
On a Mac, begin with the README’s Gmail setup: create your own Google desktop connection and approve its mail access. You can read, archive and reply without Jev. The download for Macs with an M-series chip needs macOS 14 or newer and has not been checked by Apple; only open it if you trust the release.
To try the optional labels, save a TypeSafe access key in Settings and enable Categorize with Jev. Shortened email text goes to that outside service and is billed to your account. Hiding some codes and links does not remove every sensitive detail. The app checks selected codes and links against the message; you still confirm unsubscribe actions.
