What it does

Choose a model at Pi task boundaries with cached Jev classifications, conservative policy rules, and observable failover.

How you can use it

A developer starts by running a setup command in the Pi app. This creates a file where you list available AI models and their capabilities. To choose a model for new tasks, the software connects to an outside AI provider called TypeSafe. This connection requires a specific access key.

TypeSafe hosts the service that judges how hard your task is. The software sends only the new task description to this service. Your full past conversation and pictures stay on your computer. However, private details typed into the task description still leave your machine. Built-in checks do not fully remove secrets.
