REFLEX with Jev (Wu and Lim)

REFLEX lets an AI agent use Jev for quick, bounded choices and calls a stronger language model only when Jev is unsure or text must be written.

What it does

Tiantong Wu and Wei Yang Bryan Lim also map its limits: reliability drops with larger action sets and near-valid alternatives close to authorization boundaries, and external BFCL and τ-style tests showed little gain over a cheap generative cascade. It is a different project from kshetrajna12's Reflex.

How you can use it

The idea suits an AI assistant that keeps making small menu-style choices, such as which tool to use next. Let a fast decision model take the confident ones and hand uncertain or open-ended steps to a stronger model. The authors saw little benefit when a cheaper ordinary setup already routed well, so compare against that first.
