Sketch the hazards and goals for a simple grid game before writing any code. Note the immediate checks that matter, such as avoiding walls or chasing food. A developer can then connect the game to the online service so it evaluates those dangers before every move.
Your developer can borrow this pattern to judge several simple choices together. Keep in mind that the helper only looks at immediate obstacles and contacts the service each turn. It cannot plan complex paths or see far enough ahead to avoid trapping itself inside a winding body.
