Agent tooling

jev-commit

One Jev call before every commit checks that your message actually describes the diff, and flags debug leftovers and pasted secrets while it is at it.

What it does

It warns on the first four problems and only hard-blocks a credential; the whole check costs about four dollars per thousand commits.

How you can use it

A developer can add this tool to review code updates before committing them to a project. The software connects to TypeSafe, an outside AI service, using an access key. It asks the service if a summary message actually matches the changed files. It warns the team about forgotten debug notes or unmentioned work.

The tool blocks an update if it spots a secret password. It searches for text patterns, so it might accidentally block fake test passwords. The text review only understands English messages. If the network connection fails, the tool lets the update pass without a check.

Maker-reported (not independently measured by JevMade): About $4 per thousand commits — the example request was 221 tokens in 19 ms
