JevScout is a tool that shortens large text responses for the Claude Code AI assistant and helps the Codex AI skip routine decision steps by using pre-approved commands.
For Claude Code's MCP tool responses larger than 100 kilobytes, JevScout uses TypeSafe to select relevant parts, keeping the original wording. If unavailable or unsure, it passes through the full response. A saved copy allows recovery but does not guarantee important facts survive condensation. Its separate Codex library matches requests to reviewed operations; it is not a standard Codex command-line integration. Host applications must authorize and verify actions.
How you can use it
Use JevScout when the Claude Code assistant receives oversized results from connected services, such as a long reference response. Relevant response context goes to the external TypeSafe service to select passages; the full text is saved locally. Recover that original when details matter: a saved copy does not mean every important fact reached the assistant. Consider that sharing before enabling selection.
For a developer-operated app built around Codex, provide reviewed commands and rules to check permission and completion. Request text and command descriptions go to the external TypeSafe service to choose a command; private details within that text go too. Your app, not the model's choice, must authorize the action and verify its result.
