What it does
It stops after at most twenty guesses or when progress stalls. One wrong direction can discard the answer; an exactly judgment returns immediately, even if wrong, so this is not a reliable calculator.

Borrow the guessing pattern, not a replacement for a calculator. A Python developer supplies a question and a lowest and highest possible answer. Jev chooses higher, lower or exactly for each guess. Code then halves the remaining space to choose the next guess. The centimetres example shows the idea.
Live guesses need a key for TypeSafe, an outside AI service that receives the question. Limit the guesses and read the saved decisions. A wrong direction cannot be undone; exactly is accepted without another check. Whole-number mode can reach the limits, while repeated decimal halves may only approach them.
