What it does
The default filter matches words on your machine. You can opt into Jev to rank excerpts by meaning, sending the task and code to TypeSafe; reading less code does not guarantee lower total model usage.
Agent tooling
Give Codex smaller pieces of code to read, with a list of everything the filter left out.
Only you can see your notes.

A developer can use this tool to find pieces of large files for Codex, an AI coding assistant, to read. It first searches for matching words on your computer without sending files away. An optional setting sends the task and pieces of code to TypeSafe for Jev to choose by meaning. Check the list of omitted material against the originals; smaller inputs do not guarantee lower total costs.
